About

Majid Sheikh Akbari

Majid Sheikh Akbari is a Vancouver-based sculptor whose work bridges the mystical and the material. Drawing from poetry, nature, and sustainable practices, he creates tactile forms in wood and metal that invite reflection and presence.
His large-scale public sculptures are conceived to engage both body and landscape, offering spaces for stillness and dialogue.

Before fully dedicating himself to sculpture, Majid designed a residential building that was nominated for the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture—a milestone that deepened his commitment to shaping space through art.

His work lives at the intersection of form and spirit, guided by intuition, material, and a deep sense of place.
